Key regions include West Africa (gold), the Congo Basin (copper and cobalt), Southern Africa (diamonds and platinum), and East Africa (rare earth elements). These efforts involve advanced geological mapping, remote sensing, and drilling techniques to evaluate mineral reserves, support mining activities, and attract foreign investment.
